The purpose of our ministry is to help woman grow in knowledge that she belongs to Christ and His family, she is growing to become all that He has created her to be and to have her life overflow to bless others.  Every woman has a role and a special purpose that God has designed for her, and it is our hope that through our various growth, service, and leadership opportunities, you can grow into the woman that God has intended you to become.

Some of the opportunities to connect with other women at Moraine happen at the following:

WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

Coffee Break

Join us every Tuesday morning beginning again on September 21, 2010 through early May in the Atrium for Coffee Break.  Come around 9:15 for your coffee and continental breakfast.  Free childcare is provided for all children kindergarten age and younger.
Our theme this year is, “Dancing As His Stars”.  Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life… Philippians 2:14 – 16.  Join us every Tuesday morning as we experience worship, diverse, quality Bible teaching, fellowship and prayer support.  Coffee Break is a place to grow in your intimate relationship with Jesus as well as a unique place for women of every generation to connect and share in life.  Be a part, bring a friend or make new ones!

A Unique Pathway for Women on Monday Nights

“So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Col. 1:10

Go deeper with God, grow more confident in who you are, and learn some ministry skills.  These are the goals of the newly forming long term pathway for women.  We will be exploring things like the Holy Spirit’s role in your life, hearing God, and prayer.  We will be remembering our true identity, discovering how God has wired us, and sharing our stories to look at God’s fingerprints over the course of our lives.  And we will be learning things like how to lead effective groups, how to listen well, and ways to come along side others in difficult times.  Our learning will take place in the context of a committed, small, safe group, that is seeking to deepen relationship with one another as we deepen our relationship with God…and don’t worry, we will be planning times to just have fun together.  So come learn, grow, share, laugh, pray and worship your way to a better you!!  This group will meet every other Monday night, requires homework, and asks for a 2 year commitment with option to continue to a third year.  Numbers will be limited so call Caroline Zimmerman at 708-479-0377 if you are interested.

Breaking Free Updated Edition…The Journey, The Stories.

Breaking Free is Beth Moore’s life message about freedom in Christ.  Many have journeyed with Beth through Breaking Free nearly 10 years ago.  Now we plan to enjoy her updated study along with new video teaching sessions.  Join us in this in-depth study of freedom in Christ, based on the book of Isaiah.  These groups will begin to meet every other Monday night this fall and run through next spring with a break during the Christmas season.  Explore together what keeps us from living in a daily experience of the benefits of the Christian life and learn how to develop the lifestyle of obedience that leads to true freedom.  God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him,  experience His peace, and enjoy his presence.  For freedom Christ set us free.  No longer to be entangled in a yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1).

So Long Insecurity, You’ve Been a Bad Friend to Us
Join us this fall every other Wednesday night beginning September 22 as we read and grapple together.   Regardless of our professions, credentials or possessions, the vast majority of women today battle with insecurity.  Insecurity among women is epidemic, but it is not incurable.  Nor does it go away quietly.  As women who belong to Jesus, we must learn to let God’s truth scream louder to our souls than the lies that assault us through our culture, belief systems and the expectations of others.  Don’t allow insecurity to become your lifelong companion.  It’s time to get healthy enough to make a stand and by God’s grace and power, experience the joy of winning this battle!
