TREASURING JESUS AROUND THE GLOBE

Ava Perry

“My trip to Kazakhstan, in central Asia, was a magnificent expression of the greatness of God. It’s true that women were created with the same heart and soul all over the globe. During my time with these dear women, we laughed, cried, sang worship songs and told of how Jesus delivered us from darkness to the light of His presence. Even though the women spoke Russian and Kazakh languages, our hearts were knitted together because of our common bond, unity and oneness in Christ. We searched the Scriptures and prayed together as we looked to Jesus as our only hope. I am astounded that God sent me across the world to be impacted by such loving women who are treasuring Jesus as disciples in the Lord. My new friends spoke of the “the cost of discipleship”, as many of them have encountered rejection for their faith. What a joy to love, value and shepherd these sisters in Christ. I am so thankful for your faith-filled prayers as I traveled with Bill Mills and Don Couwenhoven to LRI’s Kazakhstan TNT graduation.”
